I am so excited today because we have – as a guest blogger — award-winning author Patricia Preston! She has stopped by to provide links to a Goodreads Giveaway of her upcoming contemporary romance novel – One Week in Your Arms and also to give us a delicious Creole Fudge recipe.

I am thrilled to have her grace my website today. Patricia has been a friend of mine for many years and I have enjoyed watching her writing career take off. I also love quick, easy recipes so I’m sharing one for fudge that come from one of my Creole research books.  I also have a historical romance set in the French Quarter in 1814 available on Amazon. To save a lady
2 Minute Creole Fudge Tout de Suite

1 pound powdered sugar
½ cup cocoa
¼ cup milk
½ cup butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
½ cup chopped pecans (optional)

1.    Blend sugar and cocoa in an 8 cup measure. Add but DO NOT STIR the milk and butter.
2.    Microwave on high 2 minutes
3.    Remove. Stir well. Add vanilla and nuts. Stir.
4.    Pour into a well-greased dish. Preferably square
5.    Place in freezer for 20 minutes or fridge for 1 hour
6.    Cut and serve

    I came for the fudge. A pound of sugar…awesome. Those Louisiana folks know how to enjoy life. Will definitely try this recipe and have tweeted about it so others can go into sugar overdose, too.
